Fabrice Fries (AFP) elected new President of the European Alliance of News Agencies
Fabrice Fries, CEO of Agence France-Presse, was elected as the new President of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA), for a two-year mandate, during the organisation’s General Assembly held in Paris on Thursday, September 14th, 2023. He will replace Clemens Pig, CEO of the Austrian news agency APA, in the role.
Chris Otton, a 52-year-old British journalist, first worked in London for the Press Association and later joined the AFP Asia-Pacific desk in Hong Kong in 2001.
After graduating from the Ecole Polytechnique, Louis-Cyrille Trébuchet began his professional career at Radio France in 1998.
